Terms of Use

1. Agreement

These Terms govern your use of the AI Rock ID mobile app and the website airockid.com (the “Service”), operated by Mindtastik (“we”, “us”), a company based in the European Union. By using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service. If you downloaded the App from the Apple App Store, Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies; if anything conflicts, these Terms prevail to the extent allowed.

2. The Service

AI Rock ID uses artificial intelligence to identify rocks, crystals, minerals, gemstones, fossils and similar finds from photos, estimate their value, and answer questions in an AI chat. It also includes an encyclopedia, guides, a personal collection, share cards and achievements. To provide these features, your photos and messages are processed by third-party AI service providers, as explained in the Privacy Policy and with your permission in the App.

3. Free use

The App can be used for free with daily limits on identifications and AI chat messages, and a limited number of free valuations. Current limits are shown in the App and may change. Bonus scans earned by sharing the App have no cash value, can’t be transferred and may be capped or changed. Trying to get around limits (for example with scripts, modified apps or by resetting identifiers) is not allowed.

4. AI Rock ID PRO subscriptions

• PRO is an optional auto-renewing subscription (for example weekly or yearly) that removes the free limits. Prices are shown in the App before you buy and may vary by country.
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account when you confirm the purchase, or at the end of the free trial if one is offered.
• Free trial: where a free trial is offered (for example 3 days on the weekly plan), you are charged when the trial ends unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. Free trials are available once per Apple ID; any unused part of a trial ends when you buy a subscription.
• Auto-renewal: your subscription renews automatically at the same price and period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends.
• Managing and cancelling: open the Settings app → your name → Subscriptions, or your App Store account settings. Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription.
• Refunds: purchases are handled by Apple. Refund requests are made to Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com, under Apple’s policies.
• “Restore Purchases” in the App re-activates PRO on a new device signed in with the same Apple ID.

5. AI results: please read

Identifications, value estimates, chat answers and encyclopedia information are generated or assisted by AI and are provided for informational and educational purposes only. They can be wrong, incomplete or out of date. Results depend on photo quality, lighting and the specimen, and AI can confuse look-alikes (for example pyrite and gold).

• The Service can’t do physical tests (hardness, streak, density, chemistry) and doesn’t certify, grade, authenticate or appraise anything.
• Value estimates are rough market ranges, not appraisals or offers. Don’t rely on them to buy, sell or insure.
• Safety information (for example whether a mineral is toxic, safe to handle or safe in water) is general guidance. Handle unknown specimens with care and follow expert advice.
• Information about healing, chakras, zodiac signs and similar traditions describes cultural and metaphysical beliefs. It is not medical, health or psychological advice and is not a substitute for a professional.

For valuable specimens, legal or safety decisions, or professional work, consult a qualified geologist, gemologist or appraiser.

6. Your content

You keep all rights to the photos and text you submit. You give us and our AI providers a limited permission to process them only to provide the feature you asked for, as described in the Privacy Policy. Only submit photos you have the right to use, and don’t submit photos of people or personal documents.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to: use the Service unlawfully; submit illegal, offensive or infringing content; reverse-engineer, copy or resell the Service or its data; access our servers other than through the App; use bots or scrapers; interfere with security, limits or infrastructure; or present AI results as professional certifications or appraisals.

8. Our intellectual property

The App, website, encyclopedia content, images, design and branding belong to Mindtastik or its licensors. You may share the share cards the App creates for personal, non-commercial use. Otherwise, you may not copy or distribute our content without permission.

9. Third-party services

The Service relies on third parties, including AI providers, Apple and RevenueCat, and may link to external sites (for example market listings). We are not responsible for their content or practices.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the extent permitted by law. We don’t guarantee that the Service will always be available or error-free, and we may change, suspend or discontinue features at any time.

11. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Mindtastik is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service or reliance on AI results. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim, or USD 50, whichever is greater. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can’t be waived.

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify Mindtastik against claims arising from your misuse of the Service or violation of these Terms, to the extent permitted by law.

13. Termination

We may suspend or end access to the Service for anyone who breaks these Terms or misuses the Service. You can stop using the Service at any time by deleting the App (remember to cancel any subscription separately).

14. Changes

We may update these Terms. The new version will be posted on this page with a new date. If you keep using the Service after changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the European Union Member State in which Mindtastik is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence, and you may bring claims in the courts of your country. EU consumers can also use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform. If any part of these Terms is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
